An industrial visit to Airro Engineering co., at Savli, Vadodara was arranged for the 3rd Semester students of Chemical Engineering. The visit was conducted by Prof. Krunal Ramanandi and Dr. Manish Kumar Sinha.
The main agenda for arranging this visit was to enhance the practical knowledge of the students, to relate the theoretical concepts with real time problems and solutions, and most importantly to give them the exposure to an industrial setup wherein they are going to be eventually working as Chemical Engineers.
The basis of chemical engineering in industry is unit operations and unit processes carried out in specialized equipment. After studying various unit operations and unit processes in semester three, the visit helped students to correlate theoretical concepts with industrial scale practical working. The company fabricated equipment like pressure vessel, PSA, Hydrogen gas plant etc. so, the students could see the design, components and the interior of equipment. The purpose of the visit was to identify and see the fabrication of various unit operations based on their specific application.
