SYNERGY - 2016
Faculty of Computer Applications of Marwadi Education Foundation, Rajkot has organized Synergy-2016, a state level mega symposium during 22-23 January 2016. In the two day event, over 1700 students have participated from 120 colleges, all over of Gujarat. Students participated in multiple events from the pool of 15 non-technical and 7 technical events. Technical events include IT Quiz, Walk-in, Programming & Debugging, Paper presentation, Project Demo, Analytics and Mobile & Web Development. The non-technical events category comprised of Singing, Dancing, Fashion Show, Antakshari and so on.
Students have come from many regions of the state including, Jamnagar, Bhagnagar, Surendranagar, Porbandar, Kutch & Vadodara. The department of computer science, Bhavnagar University received the Synergy Champ Award (Runner-up) and C.Z.M Gosrani College, Jamnagar received the Synergy Champ Award (Winner) based on the participation & winning in more events.
According to Dean of Computer Applications Dr.R. Sridaran, the participants of Synergy 2016 is 30% more than that of 2015 and 75% more than that of 2014. This has been visualized as the recognition for the team work and professionalism of the Marwadi College. He also conveyed his thanks to various principals, trustees and other sponsorers.
On 22nd January, the program was inaugurated by Shri.Vijay Nehra IAS, Municipal Commissioner of Rajkot city. During the inauguration he explained the power of IT in administrations and highlighted the IT based achievements of RMC. He also recollected the award received by RMC for its best ICT implementation. He congratulated the organizers of Synergy. Shri.Vikrambhai Sanghani, Joint Director, ACE Software Exports Ltd, Rajkot also addressed the gathering in a motivating manner.
On 23rd the Valediction address was delivered by Shri.Mohan Jha IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rajkot. During his address, he stressed the significance of such a program in building the youth for tomorrow. Shri.Mohan Jha also distributed the prizes for the winners of various events. Chairman Shri.Ketanbhai and Vice Chairman Shri.Jithubhai Chandarana congratulated the organizing team of Faculty of Computer Applications for the successful conduct of Synergy.
A blood donation camp was also organized as a part of Synergy event.
Infinity Infoway, A rajkot based IT Company has recruited 3 of the participants and issued job offer letter through Shri Mohan Jha, Police Commissioner based on their performance in Synergy.
