ABOUT ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
In today’s world, producing better quality products with less cost, reducing lead times, improving customers delight have become the key requirement to remain competitive in the global market.
To fulfil these requirements Additive Manufacturing (AM) provides a technological tool for making solid free-form products.
It is a manufacturing technique which has applications in all technical as well as non-technical fields. The products are made with the use of CAD tools and then layer by layer addition of materials by using different AM technologies such as SLA, SLS and 3D printers etc.

ABOUT STTP
The workshop is motivated by the growing national manpower needs to develop experts in the globally competitive domains of engineering. Basic motive behind organizing this STTP is to provide an exposure to the technocrats and students about the new technologies related to additive manufacturing and its application for different purposes with hands on training. The course is designed mainly about AM to create general awareness among student’s researchers, faculty members and industry people. Participants will be benefited by the information about various research fields in the domain of AM. In addition they will get an experience by converting their virtual designs to real models on FDM machine. The course is designed in order to provide a platform for the participants.
