GBBN : The Department has initiated & implemented State Wide Area Network in the brand name Goa Broadband Network (GBBN) connecting all the 12 talukas, 189 Village Panchayats, 225 office buildings / termination points, around 1200 Government offices/sub-offices/corporations/autonomous bodies/Municipalities, around 500+ schools/colleges/educational institutes through fiber network.
As a part of GBBN Agreement the implementation Agency (M/s United Telecoms Limited) provides various value added services of GBBN in the brand name GWave such as internet, fiber on lease, cyber cafe video conferencing, surveillance etc to the citizens and industries in Goa.
Mr. Desai, Head GBBN explained how GBBN works to provide the speed of internet upto 10 GBPS along with how their Video Conferencing works. Mr. Vikas, Network Engineer GBBN explained various mechanisms and explained various devices utilized at GBBN.
Apart from Industrial Visit students visited various places of GOA including beaches and Forst as follows :

Calangute Beach, Miramar Beach, Anjuna Beach, Sinquerim Beach, Vagator Beach, Fort AGUADA
One should also visit the CHURCHES and TEMPLES of GOA. Team visited two churches and temple as follows :

St. Cathedral Church, Basilica of Bom Jesus Church, Shri Mangeshi Temple
Students got decent and comfortable staying accommodation at CLUB ESTADIA GOA of STERLING HOLIDAYS with all the amenities provided. As far as food is concerned, was excellent service by the staff of hotel. BUS service was provided throughout the visit of various places at GOA.
