One Day Workshop on “Cyber Forensics”
Faculty of Computer Applications of Marwadi University conducted a day-long workshop on 'Cyber Forensics' in association with Computer Society of India, Rajkot Chapter. The workshop was attended by 400 + participants from different parts of the state including Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junnagadh, Gandhinagar and Surat. That include students, faculty members, research scholars and industrialists.
Two senior faculty members Dr. Digvijaysing Rathod and Dr. Parag Rughani from GFSU Gandhinagar were the key resource persons for the workshop. The workshop comprised of theory background and practical demonstrations of different testing procedures against security breaches and handling of various forensic tools.
The topic is a highly significant one for the present age and it was considered as well structured by the participants who attended. Earlier, during the inauguration, the key note address has been delivered by the Dean, Faculty of Computer Applications, Dr.R. Sridaran. During his speech he conveyed his future plan of conducing a series of workshops in this category from basic level and advanced level.
The valediction function was presided by the Registrar of the university Mr. Naresh Jadeja. Dr. Sunil Bajeja and Dr. Divyakant Meva coordinated the event with the support of other faculty members and student volunteers. All the participants were issued certificates.
