SYNERGY - 2017
Faculty of Computer Applications of Marwadi University organized a 2 days Mega Symposium called “Synergy-2017”. The event was organized on 10th and 11th February-2017. This was SEASON-4 of Synergy. It was conceptualized on 2014 with only 8 events but now it has reached its height and yet about to go in upcoming years.
Synergy-2017 has total 26 competitions out of which 17 were Non-Technical and 9 were Technical competitions. Apart from 26 competitions there was a Fun Zone with 4 types of fun related activities in which student can take spot participation on ground. This year Synergy-2017 received around 3000 participants with almost 13000+ footfalls. This shows how it is the most popular event of its category.
As a State Level Mega Symposium, it attracts many students across Gujarat to take active participation in the same. Students from Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, Surat who took part in the event with full enthusiasm.
Shree Anupamsinh Gehlot, Police Commissioner, Chief Guest of Synergy Inauguration Ceremony, inaugurated the Function by lighting the lamp on 10th February 2017 morning. He was very happy to know the strength of Synergy and asked all young ones to come up with their talents. He praised the organizers of Synergy for conducting such a nice event for students of Gujarat. Mr. Aslam Multani, CEO – Multidots, Guest of Honour for Inauguration, welcomed all the students with his encouraging words.
The Star Cast of one of the newly released Gujarati Movie “Armaan” also visited the Synergy on the day of movie release. Lead Actor Poojan Trivedi and Lead Actress Alisha Prajapati were very much happy and excited to see the crowd of Synergy. They said that they never expected a huge crowd infront of them.
It is very much important to note that most of the events were directly handled by Student Coordinators only. Events like Super Over, Rangoli, Painting, Movie Making, Photography, Spell Bee, Fun Zone parts, etc. were handled directly by students only.

Dr. Jaiman Upadhyay, Hon. Mayor of Rajkot, was the Chief Guest during valediction ceremony. He boosted all the participants and winners of the event by giving very nice example of “Karma”. He also praised for the grand success of Synergy Function and congratulated entire Team of FCA Department. Mr. Mahipatsinh Rajput, Director – WayToWeb, Guest of Honour during Valediction, encouraged all the students with his speech and assured to be part of Marwadi in future.
Apart from that Shri S. K. Bhagavan – Director of Learning & Development Centre gave his valuable speech for all the participants and students across Gujarat. Mr. Naresh Jadeja – Registrar Marwadi University helped and appreciated entire Team - Synergy. Dr. R. B. Jadeja – Dean of Engineering and Dr. Suneet Saxena – Dean of Management gave their valuable presence during Synergy.
The entire Synergy was conceptualized by our Dean Dr. R. Sridaran & Prof. Nilesh Advani, as a Event Manager conducted Synergy with the Faculty and Students’ support.
