ASME HPVC ASIA PACIFIC 2018 is an Asia Pacific level contest of Human Power Vehicle Challenge 2018, organised by American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) which offers young engineers a platform to innovate and excel in creative thinking and to demonstrate their technical ideas in mechanics and manufacturing of human-powered vehicle.
The engineering students of Marwadi Education Foundation came together as a team to participate in HPVC 2018 – Asia Pacific. They designed, fabricated and tested a human power vehicle as per the described criteria. 
There are total 40 teams selected from qualification round for the final round. In final 16 we were competing with the top most university such as IIT Patna, IIT Roorkee, NIT Patna, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Meghalaya, NIT, Rourkela etc.
But a team from Marwadi Education Foundation Secured 2nd Rank in Endurance race and secured Overall 4th Rank in Asia Pacific Level. Also IIT Patna stood at 5th Rank and all other IIT and NIT falls after.
 
On this occasion, Shri Ketanbhai Marwadi (Chairman, MEFGI), Shri Jitubhai Chandarana (Vice Chairman, MEFGI), Dr. Y. P. Kosta (Director), Dr. R. B. Jadeja (Dean, FOE), Dr. R. L. Jhala (Dean, FOT), Dr. Sarang Pande (Dean, PG Studies), Prof. Nikunj V. Rachchh (HOD, FOE Mechanical), Prof. Ramesh Bhoraniya(HOD, FOPG Mechanical) and Prof. Bhavesh K. Kanabar (HOD, FOT Mechanical) congratulated the Team of students and the faculty advisor from Mechanical department Prof. Nirav S. Doshi (Assistant Professor and Founder – ASME MEFGI Student Section).
